Hualien
The morning came. The sun was just about to appear above the horizon. Smoke is still rising from the open fire where a piece of log had turned into a bulk of ash. The colour of the whole scene- sky, waves, the wall of guest house, kitchen, even the air, changed every moment. The day had begun. We packed our bags, left thank you note and a bottle of whisky for the master chef for great meal and for showing us around the day before, got in the Ford and we headed out. We had limited time to check out the gorges before returning the car and onto the train back to Taipei.

We drove up the empty road before the tour buses started to fill it, checked out a few spots but inevitably, the time was up… After a quick munch in town and returning Focus to the car-rental next to the station, we were on board again, on the fast train.

And that’s how we ended up back in Taipei after a quick 2 and a half hour ride.

Now I have a plane to catch to head back to Tokyo this afternoon. So we walk around checking out a few local fast food. Some okay, other, well…

Eva craft Taipei Shansang

Back on the hello kitty themed EVA flight. Even the head-rest cover had hello kitty on it. Geez… I vaguely remember some in-flight meal had that fancy hello-kitty shaped something. I cannot remember what I saw. You should just take the flight yourself.

It was a very short trip down to our neighbour. I would love to go back again, and this time, spend more time with friends, check out the city of Taipei a bit more intimately as well.
